Camel riding
You are coming to Merzouga on you own? You want to experience the peace and quiet of the desert? You always wanted to ride a camel?
Then this trip is for you!
Your camel guide will pick you up at your accommodation or the bus station. You will meet your camel at the foot of the dunes and ride towards the biggest dune of Merzouga. Here you can dismount and climb up to the top of the dune to watch the sunset. It is pretty spectacular most evenings and totally worth the effort. Make sure you bring your camera! You return to your camel and will be riding to your camp for dinner, camp fire music and a night under a million stars.
You can choose to climb the dunes again for a view of the rising sun before breakfast. Afterwards you will return to Merzouga on camel back.
We also offer trips into the dunes with a private guide, camels and small tents, so you can sleep in the dunes away from the sometimes noisy camps.
And of course, you can go only for a sunset or sunrise ride, just contact us for more details.
